4 Week Class:
Introduction to Portrait Drawing

Relax and have fun in this 4-week online beginners portrait drawing class! Participants will be guided through a range of exercises looking at line, shape, form, facial proportions, mark making and composition that will build up your confidence and core drawing skills. You will learn how to draw facial features such as the eyes, nose, mouth, and hair before moving on to longer portrait studies in both graphite pencil and charcoal with chalk.

You will be encouraged to have a playful and experimental approach to drawing, exploring a range of methods and techniques and developing the one that works best for you!

Classes will include artist led demonstrations throughout so you can follow along step-by step, with time for individual feedback. Classes will be recorded and sent to all participants so they can continue their creative journey at home!
